Start of 1st Semester

Pathway from AP House to Ritsumeikan APU

It was one cloudy Monday morning and it's the start of the 2015 Fall Semester, or my first semester as a MBA student. At Ritsumeikan APU, the academic calendar looks like this:

Fall Semester
1st Quarter = October, November
2nd Quarter = December, January
Winter Break = February, March

Spring Semester
1st Quarter = April, May
2nd Quarter = June, July
Summer Break = August, September

Every semester is divided into two quarters with six periods. Each quarter has its own class schedule set which is different from the other quarter. With this system, we will finish half of the classes at the 1st quarter, and finish the other half on the 2nd quarter. This system is quite good because it'll let us to concentrate on some subjects more as classes are hold twice a week rather than once a week.

I'll keep updating my blog when I have free time.
What do you want to know next: the classes, the foods, the shopping places, or maybe the unique Japanese garbage system?

Let me know and I'll write it down for you.
Thanks for reading!

Changing Seasons

Source: Instagram (@avilacarlo)

Just a quick post. It's October here so that means it's the start of the fall season. As you might have known, Japanese is a four-season country: starting from Winter from January - March, Spring from April - June, Summer from July - September, and finally Fall from October to the end of the year. This leaf I have in my hand is called the momiji leaves in Japan and it's the signature of fall season. Well  I do hope that winter will come sooner (before Christmas) so we'll have a White Christmas. Cheers!
